Is It Bill Nye the Science Guy?

I am not sure how you all are spending your Saturday, but at our house Josh is teaching a small course on electricity. This is the kind of fun you get when your dad is an IET.

I am hearing the words volts, wires, current, and electromagnet being used several times. I just hope I don't find my girls trying to rewire the house in the next few days! They love and eat up every minute of time when they get their dad's full attention.

I hope you all are having a great weekend! We have a Deacon's dinner, church meeting, soccer, and electricity class already and it is just a little afternoon on Saturday!

The wait list has been busy this week. Several new families were placed on it, just like us, and many on it have received referrals. It is such a blessing to be a witness to it all. At least six children have been matched this week (through AGCI) with their forever families and a few went to court and were permanently made a part of a family!!! God's plans and provisions never cease to AMAZE me. What a mighty God we serve!

Friends, Food, & Fun

Well on Labor Day, the only laboring we did was to cook!!! We had a wonderful day cooking and spending time with the girls. Then during the evening we had friends over. They came to help us celebrate Josh's big news! Last week he returned to his prior role within the company. He had been displaced for the last year and a half due to the economy and boy was he ever so happy to be back! He had stayed with the company during that time just in a different position.

The last year and half has stretched our patience and strength as a couple and a family. The good news is it has made us stronger and has helped us to be where we are at today, ADOPTING!! It is amazing sometimes what God will bring forward out of a trying situation.

We are so blessed to have people in our life who enjoy some of the simplest things. Like an endless evening of food, talking, and kids playing!!!

Anniversary

Last Sunday was our 12th anniversary and as I posted I wasn't really up for a celebration. So last night we went out to celebrate! Grace was gone to a sleepover and the other two went to the grandparents. So we went to dinner and a movie! We had a great night! It is amazing to me that after being with someone for over 15 years we never run out of good conversation and the good times never stop coming. We were so young when we started dating. We met two weeks before his high school graduation. I was the high school gal and he was my college beau!



Here we are going to my Senior prom. We were so young! I wanted to post wedding pics but they looked dark.

We have always had fun and the adventures of life have never left us with a dull moment. We have experienced great ups and downs throughout the time when we have been together.

Josh is beyond what I could imagine in a husband. He is a very kind, caring, romantic, and sentimental man. He has always known how to wooh me! He is also sarcastic, goofy, and down right entertaining most of the time. He keeps the girls and I laughing. Most importantly though he is a great leader in our household. He has shown great love to each of us. He knows when to give and when to stand firm. Our daughters and myself never question who will be there to protect and guide us. The Lord has blessed us with a man who seeks His wisdom and His way.

So to my amazing hubby..... I say thank you and I can't imagine traveling through this life with anyone else but you. New adventures are ahead and I am excited to journey them along side of you!
